FAQs

What is an adjustment?

An adjustment is performed by a chiropractic physician to specific joints in the body. The purpose of the adjustment is to remove restrictions in the joint and increase segmental range of motion thus positively affecting the joint and surrounding soft tissues.

Who is Chiropractic for?

Chiropractic is safe and effective for all age ranges with a wide variety of musculoskeletal problems.

What should I expect during my first appointment?

During your first appointment you will be asked to fill out required paperwork, well will go over your specific insurance coverage, our doctor will take a detailed history and perform a physical exam, and if appropriate, treatment will be rendered.

I just got into a car accident, what do I do next?

The first thing to do after you have been in an accident is open an injury claim with YOUR insurance company and inform them that you were injured. This will generate a claim number that you will provide to the office staff for billing purposes. When you have generated an injury claim, you can then call the clinic to schedule an appointment where you will be directed to filling out appropriate paperwork needed to be seen in the clinic.

How much does it cost? Does my insurance cover chiropractic care?

Contracted rates are set by your insurance provider and differ among each insurance provider. We will do our best to give you an estimate for each visit. Our goal is to be as transparent as possible to minimize surprises.

What services are provided?

We offer a variety of services including myofascial release, massage and therapeutic exercises. These services are provided concurrently with chiropractic care and are all overseen and directed by the chiropractor.

How often can I get adjustments?

Adjustments can be performed as often as needed for each injury. Some injuries require 3-4X/week for a short time, 1-2 weeks, and then can be spaced out. Other injuries require less frequent adjustments to get to resolution.

Can babies get chiropractic adjustments?

Yes, chiropractic is safe and effective for infants and young children who present with a musculoskeletal complaint. These complaints can look different in all babies but common reasons parents seek chiropractic care are latching and nursing issues, frustration with tummy time, colic, etc.

Do I have to be in pain to get adjusted?

No, regular adjustments often keep you out of pain!

Do I need a referral from my doctor before I schedule an appointment?

Most plans do not require a referral from your PCP. If a plan does need a referral we will work with you and your PCP to obtain the necessary referral.
